Background
Healing Sgt. Warren tells the story of Jonathan Warren, a veteran of the war in Iraq. Warren and four others were riding in a Humvee when they struck a buried explosive. The explosion destroyed the vehicle and engulfed what was left in flames, injuring the soldiers and severely burning Scott Stephenson, Warren’s best friend from basic training. This story documents Warren as he returns home from Iraq and faces new challenges; adjusting to a new life stateside while simultaneously trying to deal with the traumatic memories and feelings he brought home with him from a brutal war in the Middle East.
