Composed the original music for this three-part documentary produced by the Los Angeles Times.

On a prosperous path from Mexican fields to U.S. tables, a boom in farm exports has enriched growers and retailers and benefited consumers. But for thousands of agricultural workers south of the border, it is a life of exploitation and hardship.
 
 

Background

In Mexico's fields, children toil to harvest crops that make it to American tables. An estimated 100,000 Mexican children under 14 pick crops for pay. Alejandrina, 12, wanted to be a teacher. Instead, she became a nomadic laborer, following the pepper harvest from farm to farm.
